Brimington is a village of approximately 11,000 souls just 2 miles north of Chesterfield, it has a mixed population of people born locally and those who have moved to the area due to work at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital or other employment in Chesterfield, it is a growing population.

Within the parish, St Michaels is seen as "The Parish Church" and is used by most local organisations, including the British Legion as the church for its annual Remembrance Day Parades and the uniformed organisations for parade sundays.

The church plays a very important role in village life; all 3 schools within the parish make good use of the church building, its church family and its resources.

Our main Sunday service is at 10:00am and Sunday School takes place at the same time in the choir vestry.

We believe that our worship should be reverent, but should also be enjoyable with a degree of fun included.

We also hold Messy Church once a month. It takes place on the 2nd Saturday of the month in the church hall from 3:30pm - 5:30pm. Look out for the banner! Children of all ages are welcome and take part with their parents.

We hold various fund raising and social events over the course of the year. Details are available in the Parish Magazine, via Facebook or advertised on posters at bookshop or in church.
